About Hunter Home Climate
A guide to heating and cooling homes in Newcastle and the Hunter: what it costs, how to choose, and how to look after it.
Who writes it
Hunter Home Climate is written by its editor, credited as "the Hunter Home Climate editor". The editor is not a licensed technician. Answers are checked against manufacturers' manuals, the Australian Refrigeration Council, the NSW Government and the Bureau of Meteorology, and every price comes from a named, dated source.
The pictures and the remote
Pictures marked "Illustration" are generated images of a typical job, not real homes. The remote is our own generic drawing, not any brand's; brand wording comes from each maker's own guide and is named only to identify products.
